The modular design of the Dog Pack lets you remove the pouches to get the perfect hiking harness (Extended) or a minimal day-to-day harness (Core)
Pulling assist
The Dog Pack lets you attach the leash at the very back so your dog can pull you up on trails. That's not all, it also features a back D-ring, a front D-ring and a belly loop for long lines.
Internal organization
Inside the pouches, you have 2 mesh pockets to store smaller items such as the night light, the Canyon collar or Velcro sleeves.
Don't pass over your dog's head
The Canyon Light features a neck buckle so you can achieve the perfect fit without worrying of passing over the head.
Help your dog up or down obstacles
Thanks to its connected top handle, the Canyon lets you lift your dog up obstacles. Perfect for tougher terrain or senior dogs.
Let your dog move freely
The Y-shape of the Canyon is recommended by vets as the best harness to promote shoulder joint health and freedom of movement.
No chafing or irritation
Thanks to its unique belly adjuster, it is one of the few harnesses that doesn't cause irritation in your dog's armpit region. Adjust the belly adjuster so that the first row of webbing is further back on your dog's belly.

Most likely yes. After testing the harness on more than 25 different breeds and shapes, we can say that the Canyon harness fits very well. But just to confirm, go to our sizing corner.
Basically, the two harnesses are very similar, but the Pro features all aluminum hardware, it is crash-tested to keep your dog safe in the car and it is heavier than the light.
Not on the harness. Velcro doesn't meet our standard for durability... But we get it, you need to attach your patches somewhere! That's why we came up with Velcro Sleeves that you can add or remove as you please. You can get the Velcro Sleeves for your Extended harness.

I had originally gotten the Medium and found it too big for my 57 lbs Treeing Walker Coonhound. The small fits his girth perfectly without me having to worry about any chafing. The dog back component is also now perfectly proportional to his size and doesn’t look like he’s swimming in fabric. My best recommendation for buy Säker products is they do run a bit large to triple check your measurements before buying.
I ordered a medium originally because he was in between sizes, but the small is his best fit.

My dog seems to really like this harness. We have tried around 4 others and they did not work out. She wants me to put it on her. No more fighting to get her in it. It stated with just a collar and leash. Great quality.

I was an original backer of the Ascension, I really really like the Ascension, but my favorite color especially for the fall season is orange. So I decide to grab one of the Canyon pack in outback orange. Wow! The team make some significant improvements. The connected handle at the top and the neck buckle are two features I really enjoy.

Too big for my dog as size does run larger than most harnesses, but the quality is amazing and their return/exchange help is extremely valuable and the Säker team is always quick with responses to any inquiries about the process.
