Sustainability

Let's be honest, we are still far from our vision of the ideal sustainable company.

However, we're setting the bricks one by one. Here's a few ways we found to make our business more sustainable:

More Durable. More Sustainable.

One of the key ways we try to reduce our global footprint is to design gear that does not need to be replaced as often.

By focusing on extending product life cycles, you need to buy less of it. That means, we produce less of it. It also means less transportation, and less of it thrown away.

Understanding our society

We had started the journey of going from plastics to compostable bags. After meeting with biochemical engineer at Polytechnique Montréal, we determined that the society, as it is now, is better equipped to recycle High-Density Plastics (HDPE) than to deal with compostable materials that have no where to be sorted. The latter ones usually end up in landfields where they have the same impact as normal waste.

BlueSign Materials

This year, we will turn our focus toward using more recycled materials in our products. One way to do this is to work with bluesign.com.
